Playa Cards-The King of Spades
STEP #5: AND NOW wake up, here comes the finished card and the iteration steps to a real Playa Card.
STEP #1: THE IDEA
On this weekend, we will learn how to draw a real amazing Playa Card in no time. What you need is really easy to get: a bunch of transparent Paper and some pencils. Sharpen them up, let your mind flow and catch a real disturbing idea. That`s the first step. Then draw it on the transparent paper of course and not on your silky carpet. After finishing your Card easyly with a ton of graphite and some thousand dashes you will get a clear idea of the picture and you will began to recognize, that it is not that easy. This is an another early example of Black Pop Art.
STEP #2: TEXTUAL CONCEPT
I wrecked my brain for several hours, till the title of of it became clear “Rest in Peace or rest in pieces”. Afterwards it was easy going. Imagine that the girl in the front is searching for her lover and the title is all that she got in reponse.
STEP #3: THE PROTAGONISTS
Needless to add that the 2 adorable girls on the left and righthandside, try to get some pieces of Her too. Yeah I guess the whole scene looks like a horror movie frame. So good night and sleep my fellas.

STEP #4b: THE WORKING PROGRESS
The pencil sketch marks the beginning of it all. It took me a lot of time to arrange the actors in the scene. And it was a long way to the In dian Ink sketch with Edding fine line markes. And as I finished it, years later I get the idea of the Playa Cards and adopted this early drawing for that. A lot of thnigs changed inbetween the iterations as you can see. On of the girls for example (the one on the right) got no shoes in the beginning (therefore we afterwards blow up the high heels, so it was easier for her staying lazy ajar on the halberd. If you recognize more changed details you can comment here. ;-)
